Good weight staff

Have been learning kabudo ,Okinawan weapons, and wanted to have my own staff to work with and be able to practice at home. Initial reaction was that it was thicker and heavier than the ones I'd used at the dojo. I was thinking of returning it until at the first class using it the sensei pointed out that it's more like the staffs used to be, but as ever things get smaller and lighter, so you're better off with a thicker heavier one and so I'm definitely going to stick with this one as it gives a more traditional experience and I have no problem working with it.
